Collaborative Print Exchange Project
This past year Printmaking Professor Kyle Chaput embarked on a collaborative project with University of Texas, San Antionio (UTSA) Printmaking Professor Umberto Saenz. Both have visited each other’s classes and given demonstrations on various printmaking techniques to the other’s students.
To culminate the experience, they had their respective students work on a Print-Exchange Project. Each printmaking student, from both Baylor and UTSA, created multiple prints from the same plate, that were then sent to the other school – thereby giving each student, from both schools, a collection of prints from the other’s program.
It was a great way for students to both share their work and also receive a portfolio of work in exchange from other artists.
