Baylor Students Competed with Industry Professionals to Receive This Highly Competitive Recognition.
Painting Professor Winter Rusiloski created Troy Epic Narrative a 84” x 720” painting as part of her residency this summer with Troy University in Troy, Alabama. The residency concluded with a temporary public art installation at a vacant plot at 204 E Walnut Street, Troy AL. The site activation was a preview of a culminating exhibition Angel Fernandez and Winter Rusiloski, Transience:Trace and Erasure in Lost Landscapes, opening September 18 at the International Arts Center in the Huo Bao Zhu Gallery curated by Elizabet Elliot, originated by the Alabama Contemporary with Troy University. Rusiloski recontextualized the large work in the Big Bend of Texas and Troy Epic Narrative will head back to the International Art Center for the exhibition.
This exhibition and related programs are generously supported by the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, Alabama State Arts Council and the Daniel Foundation.
