Painting Professor Winter Rusiloski Spends Summer Creating Large-Scale Paintings in Texas Desert
During the summer of 2024, Painting Professor Winter Rusiloski worked on large scale paintings (two 6 foot x 18 foot and one 7 foot x 18 foot) on site in the desert of Terlingua Ranch, Texas. The mixed media paintings include collage elements and photos she has taken throughout the last several years.
Professor Rusiloski received a URC grant from Baylor University to execute these paintings, along with a student assistant, BFA Senior, painting concentration, Ellie Cerwin. These works will be included in an exhibition in 2025 with the Alabama Contemporary Art Center in Mobile, AL.
