Ellis Barber, Baylor Art Grad, Completes MFA Program at Ole Miss With A Large-Scale Exhibition

Ellis Barber | Baylor BFA '23 | U of Mississippi MFA '26

Ellis Barber graduated from Baylor in 2023 with a BFA in Studio Art from the Department of Art and Art History with a focus on Sculpture. He was accepted into the three-year long Master’s program at the University of Mississippi with a full ride scholarship. Barber finished his Master's degree work and his MFA Thesis Exhibition, titled Creatures of Habit” was displayed at Gallery 130 in Meek Hall. 

Ellis received the Graduate Achievement Award for 2026, one of two awards given for the year to students from the  Art, Art History, Theater, and Music areas. The award is based on high grades, service to the school, and work ethic.
