Dr. Heidi Hornik and Two Art History Students Present Research to Mark The Armstrong Browning Library & Museum's Benefactors Day
Dr. Heidi Hornik, Haydin Davis, and Ellery Copple answering questions from the audience
Congratulations to Dr. Heidi Hornik and two of her Art History students, Ellery Copple, and Haydin Davis on their wonderful presentations on October 2nd marking The Armstrong Browning Library & Museum's Benefactors Day!
During the fall 2024 semester, Dr. Heidi J. Hornik’s advanced Art History seminar on Connoisseurship studied ten paintings in the Armstrong Browning Library. These works served as primary documentation for the source of their research. They utilized a data visualization dashboard to “publish” their research for future scholars. Two students from the seminar—Haydin Davis and Ellery Copple—presented their methodology and results of their scholarly study.
The three scholars shared their findings during this celebratory event, and it was wonderfully received. The Armstrong Browing Library and Dr. Hornik worked together to provide a unique and meaningful event for undergraduates in line with Baylor’s focus of providing research opportunities and real-world skills for its students.
Again, congratulations all!
