Photography Professor H. Jennings Sheffield’s work featured at the Griffin Museum of Photography
Photography Professor H. Jennings Sheffield has spent the last three years photographing Tangier Island off the coast of Virginia in the Chesapeake Bay. The water surrounding the island is overtaking the land an average of nine acres every year. At this current rate, Tangier is projected to be uninhabitable in 50 year. Sheffield is to working photograph and document the lives that have been led there for centuries.
