Recent Baylor Art Graduate's Painting Graces Cover of Time Magazine
If you look closely at the cover of the June 7th-14th, 2021 edition of TIME magazine, you'll notice a painting displayed near artist and writer Akwaeke Emezi (who owns it).
The painting, titled Devils Pie shown above, was created by Baylor Art graduate John Singletary (BFA 2020).
At Baylor, Singletary was Professor Winter Rusiloski’s student with a painting concentration. Singletary created this work during his advanced painting classes with Rusiloski.
Singletary was recently awarded the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant, and will begin his graduate studies at the School of Visual Arts in New York City fall 2021.
