Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Art History Students Visit with Dr. Deirdre Fulton to Explore 1000 Year Old Artifacts
Dr. Jerolyn Morrison's Art History’s Ancient Greek Culture and Cuisine Class (ARTH 4359) visited the Tidwell Bible Building to learn about the Old Testament Lands of Israel and See a Bronze Age Canaanite Jar (similar to those on the Uluburun Shipwreck)
On March 16th Baylor’s Art History students had a unique interdisciplinary learning experience at Tidwell with Dr. Deirdre Fulton, Associate Professor of Hebrew Bible/Old Testament at Baylor University. The students explored how scholars use everyday craft objects, such as cooking pots, bowls, and cups along with food remains (i.e., animal bones) to learn about daily life in Ancient Israel. The students participated in hands-on activities that allowed them to hold, examine, and identify pots and bones that were 1000s of years old!
Thank you, Dr. Fulton for your generosity and enthusiasm!
