STATEMENT
Allison has worked in the museum field for more than 18 years and has made a career working at small museums connected to colleges and universities. She believes that the small museum is uniquely positioned to offer visitors an intimate experience with fine art that provides the viewer with rare stories, a lovingly curated look at works of art, and the opportunity to explore profound themes.

Allison's career in the museum field began as an assistant in the Meadows Gallery at UT Tyler. It was here that she discovered her love for working with fine art. Her journey continued in graduate school, where she interned at the Pearce Museum at Navarro College and eventually became the curator of their art collection. Six years later, she was appointed as the Director, a role she embraced with enthusiasm.

Allison has been the Director of the Martin Museum since 2015 and has enjoyed working with faculty and students in the Department of Art & Art History. Through Martin's affiliation with the department, they can bring world-class artists, historical artwork, and programs that enhance the experience of art students, the Baylor family, and the Waco and surrounding communities.
