Josh Raftery
- Photography and Graphic Design Lab Manager
Josh Raftery is a native of Phoenix, Arizona, where he studied forensic science and photography. He received his BFA in Photography from Arizona State University in 2011, and his MFA from Ohio University in Photography + Integrated Media in 2015.
His current photographic work examines the relationships between loss and intimacy, religion and science, and creating blurred narratives between reality and fiction. Raftery specializes in antiquated photographic processes to emphasize the passage of time. Raftery’s work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally, as well as being included in several publications. He has been an instructor of photography and studio art at Ohio University, University of Kentucky, East Carolina University, University of Dayton, Eastern Oregon University and now resides in Waco, TX, and works at Baylor University.
In his free time, Raftery enjoys reading, writing, creating music, watching documentaries, and running amuck with pups and raccoons.
